These two milestones represent two sides of my professional growth: recognition for visionary thinking and a commitment to disciplined practice. I’m curious, grounded, and always learning.
Visionary Award – Master of Design with focus on Health Program
University of Texas at Austin, Class of 2025 cohort
“I had this idea in the middle of the night…”
Apparently, I said that a lot during my Master’s Capstone project.
I was honored to receive the Visionary Award, a peer-selected recognition given to the cohort member who sees what could be—and does the work to make it real.
When presenting the award, Professor Alexis Artusi, my Capstone coach, described me as “stubbornly optimistic,” always pushing for the best. It made everyone smile, because it rang so true.
For someone who came from the healthcare trenches, this award marks a meaningful milestone. It celebrates the very reason I moved into design: a conviction that healthcare should work better for the people within it.
I’m carrying that same energy forward to ask bold questions, connect systems, and design for meaningful change.
I earned my Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) credential in September 2025 to strengthen my ability to bridge product, UX, and engineering teams.
Agile fluency helps me collaborate effectively across disciplines, translate design insights into actionable product outcomes, and maintain alignment between user needs and business goals.
